Thanks to the participation of businesses, individuals and organizations more than 200 items are expected to be on the auction block during the Rotary Radio Auction. Club members take to the airwaves on Real Country 910 from 6 pm – 10pm on Wednesday and Thursday, October 9 and 10, 2019. Items will be listed in the Drumheller Mail, websites and Facebook.
In the upcoming weeks, members will visit the business community for items to be auctioned. The auction provides an advertising opportunity as club members not only describe the items to be sold but talk about what businesses offer to the shopping public.
“The Radio Auction is our largest club-sponsored fund-raiser,” says Vicki Wilton, Chair of this year’s bi-annual event. “We appreciate the great support by the business community and individuals who wish to do their part to: Help Rotary Help the Community.”
Rotary is 95 years young in the community. Planning has started for a major project to celebrate it’s 100th anniversary in 2024. In the meantime, projects to support youth, families and seniors will continue to be the goal of the club.
